The mission of the MCO is to provide an opportunity for high-level musicians to learn the standard orchestral repertoire that will help them prepare for professional orchestral auditions. The ensemble is also a place for the serious community player to perform music with other high-level players in a challenging, but friendly environment. Young musicians will not only rehearse and perform the traditional orchestral repertoire, but will also have the opportunity to be selected, based on merit, to experience firsthand the commercial aspect of the musical business - including recording sessions for original film scores and performing with world-class artists!
